(MENAFN) Jordan’s whole exports over 2015 valued almost USD 7.81bn; registering a 6.6 percent drop from 2014, while national exports were 7.1 percent lower at USD 6.74bn.
Moreover, the trade balance logged a USD 12.48bn shortage, bringing the gap down by 14 percent through 2015, compared to a year earlier.
On the other hand, exports of garments, potash and phosphate increased by 7.8, 2.5 and 10.9 percent, while the export of fruit and vegetables fell by 4.7 in 2015.
Imports of crude oil and its derivatives dropped by 41.2 percent, and imports of iron and its products also fell by 8.8 percent during the cited year, compared to 2014.
