(MENAFN) Dubai-based Jumbo Electronics chief executive, Deepak Khetrapal, said that sales hiked by twenty percent in the first two quarters of 2010 as shoppers increased their purchase of portable gadgets such as smartphones and tablets, reported The National.
The CEO said that smartphone sales achieved an increase of 35 percent compared to the same period in 2009. He also said that 3D experiences are getting more popular and attracting more sales.
The CEO added that the company had set the target of $1.08 biilion worth of revenues through launching a fiftieth store by 2012
The CEO mentioned that the company eyes plans of expansion in other Gulf countries such as Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.
