(MENAFN) King Abdullah Port proclaimed the increase of its throughput to 821.694 TEU in the first half of the year, showing an increase of 14 percent compared to the same period of 2016.
Accordingly, an increase in the number of vessels received amid the period, reaching 398 vessels compared to 349 in the same period of 2016.
Meanwhile, the General Authority of Statistics exposed that the imports of the Port grew by 60.7 percent in May this year, growing the value of imports to SR1.277mn.
The Port is built according to state-of-the-art specifications and is made and executed to cope with the kingdom’s commercial and economic growth.
