(MENAFN) Kuwait’s Health Insurance Co. proclaimed that it has awarded USD535mn deal to China’s Metallurgical Group Corp (MCC) for the building of two 600-bed hospitals in the nation.
Furthermore, the MCC would carry out design, construction, equipping and maintenance works for the two hospitals which will be in the Jahra and Ahmadi governorates.
Meanwhile, both hospitals will be ready by the end of 2019, while the Medical Insurance Hospital Project will be implemented by Shanghai Baoye, MCC Huatian and MCC Intl” Group.
These hospitals aimed to serve the insurance-paying expatriates, who account for almost 70 percent of Kuwait’s 4.4mn population.
