(MENAFN) The Chairman of Jazeera Airways announced that the Kuwaiti airlines General Assembly has agreed to increase the company’s capital to $145 million, Kuwait Times reported.
In his speech at the General Assembly, the chairman said that the reason for the increase was to takeover Saab Aircraft Leasing Company’s operations.
Combining the income of Saab and Jazeera would surely increase operational revenue for Jazeera, said the official, who noted that such profits had been at $4.15 million for the first quarter of the current year.
Meanwhile, the chairman revealed that Jazeera Airways had done well last year, becoming the biggest flight operator at Kuwait International Airport with over 1.8 million passengers traveling in 2009.
