(MENAFN) The Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and its Maltese counterpart signed a protocol of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, Kuna reported.
The Chairman of Malta Enterprise Alan Camilleri said that the Maltese government attaches much attention to attracting Kuwaiti companies to enter into development projects in Malta.
He said there is already cooperation between both Maltese and Kuwaiti governments through educational programs as there are now some 100 Kuwaiti students in Malta.
He added that his country’s private sector is willing to enter into joint ventures with its Kuwaiti counterpart, especially regarding tourism, food, education and health.
For his part, Second Deputy Chairman of the KCCI Abdelwahab Al-Wazzan said bilateral economic relations are still in their early stage, and volume of trade exchange does not reflect the real level of bilateral political ties.
