Kuwait presents free economic zone on islands
17 Dec 2015
(MENAFN) Kuwait will construct a free economic area on five islands near to the shorelines of local heavyweights Iraq and Iran with huge investments open to the private sector.
The project is based on attracting local, regional and global private sectors to invest, execute and operate the zone.
Additionally, work is underway on a 25-kilometre (16-mile), USD 2.6bn causeway joining the capital with Subbiya.
The country has granted projects value a record USD 30bn until now this year, despite falling oil incomes.
