Kuwait trade surplus jumps by 314.2pct in Q1

(MENAFN) The trade surplus in Kuwait jumped 314.2 percent in the Jan-March period of the year compared to the same period of 2016.
In addition, the trade surplus increased to KWD1.63bn in the cited quarter from KWD392.39mn in the same period of 2016.
Moreover, the nation’s exports grew 55.2 percent to KWD4.16bn in the cited period of the year from KWD2.68bn in Q1, 2016.
Meanwhile, non-oil exports increased 34.7 percent to KWD449.39mn in the cited quarter of the recent year from KWD333.51mn in the same period of 2016.
