Kuwaiti Wataniya’s profit up 100% in Q4

(MENAFN) The chairman of the Kuwaiti National Mobile Telecommunications Co (Wataniya), Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani, announced financial figures for the company showing that profit increased by over a hundred percent in the fourth quarter of 2010, reported Arabian Business.
The chairman said that this growth was due to more clients subscribing to Wataniya as well as the increasing of the operator’s market share.
He also said that net income for the same quarter went up to USD86.8 million from USD39.2 million a year earlier.
The chairman also said that, on the other hand, profit for the whole year fell 28 percent to USD277.8 million.
