Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways reports USD9.2m profit in Q2

(MENAFN) Kuwait’s low-cost carrier Jazeera Airways reported a 23 percent increase in quarterly profits, benefiting from strong oil-based economy in the country, Bloomberg reported.

The company said it made USD9.2 million net profit during the second quarter, up from USD7.4 million a year earlier.

Jazeera Airways has a fleet of 12 Airbus SAS A320 planes covering 19 destinations in MENA region and Turkey.

The carrier started flights to Najaf in April, becoming the first Kuwaiti airline to fly to Iraq since the 1990 Gulf War.
