(MENAFN) Kuwait’s National Mobile Telecommunications Co (Wataniya), the country’s second-largest mobile telephone operator, said that it has posted a 5.9 percent rise in first-quarter net profit, Reuters reported.
Wataniya, a unit of Qatar Telecommunications Co (Qtel), reported earnings of $56.41 million, in the first quarter, compared with $52.9 million in the same period a year earlier, the firm said in a statement to the bourse.
It is worth mentioning that Wataniya operates in markets including Algeria, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and the Maldives.
