(MENAFN) London-based luxury hotelier Langham Hospitality Group is considering introducing its brands in the Gulf region, Arabian Business reported.
Andrew Jessop, vice president of development (Worldwide) at Langham was quoted by hotelnewsnow.com as saying that in addition to the group’s primary focus in Asia, it is also targeting Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Beirut outside Asia/Pacific region.
Last year, Langham Hospitality Group appointed Sam-Erik Ruttmann as vice president development (Middle East), in a move to push for expansion along the “New Silk Road” of China, India and the Middle East.
In October 2010, Langham announced plans for the first Langham Place in Doha, scheduled to open in late 2012 but it is no longer on the company’s list of hotel projects on its website.
