(MENAFN) Sana reported that Syrian Prime Minister Mohammed Naji Otri and Libyan Secretary General of People’s Committee for Finance and Planning Abdel Hafiz el-Zelaiti on Sunday called for more efforts to boost economic and financial cooperation.
Talks focused on means of increasing the volume of trade exchange and introducing the Syrian and Libyan businessmen to the investment opportunities available in both counties.
Both sides stressed the importance of establishing economic partnerships and carrying out joint projects in agriculture, food industry and service facilities.
Syrian Minister of Finance Mohammed al-Hussein stressed today the Syrian government’s readiness to eliminate custom tariffs on Libyan goods and facilitate their flow into Syria.
