(MENAFN) Libya’s oil minister, Abdulrahman Ben Yezza, said that at the current time, the country’s oil output is at 1.5 million barrels per day (bpd), reported AP.

Yezza added that Libya’s production is almost back to its pre-war levels, and nearly 100,000 bpd more than February’s output.

He also said that the government plans to attract foreign investors to enhance the country’s oil and gas sectors.

It is worth noting that by mid-2012, Libya will be able to begin producing around 1.6 million bpd of oil.
