(MENAFN) As supermarket franchise and leisure businesses income grew, the Dubai-based mall operator Majid Al Futtaim posted a 7 percent increase in its six months revenue, which hit USD3.7 million.
The firm recorded a stable USD490 million earnings in the January-June period. Its property business made USD540 million in revenue, jumping from 2 percent in 2014. Its malls lured 85 million visitors.
Its Carrefour operations saw a rise of 7 percent in sales compared to a year earlier, reaching USD3 billion. By the end of the first half of 2015, Majid Al Futtaim ran 143 Carrefour stores in 13 countries.
The Dubai based firm owns 17 shopping malls and 11 hotels in the region, plus the Carrefour chain, let alone cinemas, leisure and healthcare units which produced a six months earnings of USD165 million.
