(MENAFN) The CEO of Abu Dhabi Aviation Group subsidiary, Maximus Air Cargo, said that the company would purchase three Airbus A300-600 planes from Japan Airlines in a deal worth Dh350 million, reported Gulf News.
The CEO, Fathi Hilal Buhazza, said that the deal includes making the aircraft freighters instead of passengers. The three aircraft would have loading capacity of 48 tons.
The CEO added that the new aircrafts would be operational in July, September and November of 2011.
Buhazza said that the company is looking into more than one financing option as it is still comparing loan rates. A decision would be reached by the end of the current month.
