(MENAFN) Monster Employment Index Middle East showed that in May, online job opportunities in the region hiked by 59 percent from a year earlier, reported Emirates 24/7.
The index revealed that in the UAE, online job opportunities surged by 57 percent in May, whereas they grew by 49 percent in Kuwait, by 34 percent in Qatar, 24 percent in Bahrain, 22 percent in KSA, while they went up by 21 percent in Egypt and by 13 percent in Oman.
The industry sectors were led by retail/trade and logistics, posting 63 percent gain; while BFSI and engineering recorded over 40 percent growth.
It is worth noting that in 2011, the highest level of job creation was registered in Saudi, with 62 percent of companies recruiting, compared with 55 percent a year earlier.
