(MENAFN) Air France-KLM welcomed the Lebanese national airline, Middle East Airlines (MEA), into the alliance of SkyTeam as the alliance plans to expand more in the Middle East, reported The National.
The first Arabian airline to join SkyTeam was the Saudi Arabian Airline which joined earlier this month. SkyTeam officials said that adding MEA as a member enhances the global network of the alliance.
It is worth noting that airline alliances have become increasingly popular among major western carriers as they seek access to markets.
