(MENAFN) Governments through MENA region aim to enhance their power sectors to improve energy security and cut reliance on gas imports.
A new research report from Mideast business intelligence service MEED noted that the installed generation capacity in the region will reach 440GW by 2020.
In addition, the cost of installing PV solar fell by 80 percent since 2007 and the three main PV solar projects in the UAE have all achieved word record low tariffs.
