(MENAFN) A senior director at Metito Overseas said that the company has won an $8.17 million contract to upgrade the first phase of the existing wastewater treatment plant in Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), according to a press statement.
The project includes upgrading the plant’s capacity from 3,000 cubic meters per day to 10,000 cubic meters per day. The exercise which will constitute the first phase of DSO’s comprehensive upgrade initiative is scheduled for completion by the end of 2010.
The operation utilizes Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) technology, a very efficient process that produces high quality irrigation water, the official said.
The plant is scheduled to be upgraded on three phases as part of the master plan of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, and will see a capacity of 32,000 cubic meters once completed.
