(MENAFN) Almost 1.226.665 Mideast travelers landed in Turkey between Jan and June of this year, while travel to Turkey increased by 10 percent and will reach 20.5 percent by the end of the year.
Furthermore, tourist traffic to Turkey from the GCC resident and nationals continued to show increase, growing 26.29 percent compared to last year.
Meanwhile, the number of UAE citizens and residents traveling to Turkish grew 9.86 percent, whereas Kuwaiti traveler numbers grew by 41.04 percent and 31.86 percent from Bahrain.
However, the Jan-June period of 2016 saw decline of 20.99 percent in traveler traffic from the UAE to Turkey and this year recovered to grow by 10 percent or more than 18 thousand travelers.
