Ministry of Elect shows renewable energy projects in Egypt

(MENAFN) The Ministry of Elect will present a detailed memorandum to the cabinet amid two weeks, which involves the situation of new and renewable energy projects.
Accordingly, the memo involves a report of elect production surplus, which amounts to 4.000 MW a day.
Moreover, the investors aim to amend the structure of payment in the solar energy tariff, which related to 30 percent of the tariff value at the price EGP8.8 to the U.S. dollar.
The memorandum will ensure the position of the firms that inked the power purchase deal with the Egyptian Elect Transmission Co.
