Morocco forecasts 2.6 percent economic growth in 2016

01 Jul 2015

(MENAFN) Morocco forecasts an economic growth of 2.6 percent in 2016, marking a decrease from the current 4.3 percent for this year, according to the country’s planning agency, Reuters reported.

The decline will be attributed to the falling agricultural productivity, which accounts for 15 percent of Morocco’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), according to official statistics.

The non-agricultural sector, on the other hand, will grow to 3.1 percent in 2016, following this year’s 2.5 percent.
