Morocco plans to raise its renewable energy by 2030

MENAFN) Morocco decides to derive more than half of its energy from renewable sources by 2030.
Moreover, the nation’s limited hydrocarbon resources have pushed it to be a front-runner in the renewable energy race.
In addition, the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy was established at the time with an order to implement the Moroccan Solar Plan that would invest USD 7.7bn.
Morocco opened its renewable energy law, which gave the chance for the growth of private power production, permitting investors to build renewable energy projects, five years earlier.
