(MENAFN) Mumtalakat Holding Company’s chief executive, Talal Alzain, said that the company started operations in the Gulf Technics’ Components Centre, which would provide services to carriers including maintenance, warehousing, supply of components and airplane spare parts, reported Gulf Daily News.
Alzain said that the center’s first client would be the Bahrain International Airport. He also said that he expects for the center to have a significant share of the airline maintenance market in the ME.
Alzain also said that the new center comes under a strategy of the company to diversify into airline components support businesses.
Alzain noted that the center would provide both services to airlines in addition to the Bahraini community, as it provides over 150 new jobs generated by Mumtalakat’s investment in the project.
