Nakheel awards USD626.3m contracts for 3 projects

(MENAFN) Dubai-based developer Nakheel said it has awarded construction contracts worth nearly USD626.3 million for three major projects in its growing retail portfolio.
The company has confirmed the builders of Deira Islands Night Souk, Warsan Souk and The Circle Mall, which, combined, offer nearly 2.3 million square feet of retail space and over 6,700 outlets.
A USD318.52 million contract has been awarded to United Engineering Construction (UNEC) for Deira Islands Night Souk and Boardwalk, the company added.
Additionally, a USD210.98 million contract to Ginco General Contracting for Warsan Souk and a USD96.3 million contract to Gulf Technical Construction Company for The Circle Mall.
