(MENAFN) Oman’s natural gas production and imports increased at 3.9 percent to 34.151mn cubic meters for the Jan-Sep period of this year.
On the other hand, non-associated gas and imports showed an increase of 4.7 percent at 28.306mn cubic meters, while associated gas jumped to 0.2 percent.
Additionally, a sizeable portion of natural gas in the Sultanate is used by different mega-industrial projects, which reached 19.093 MNCM in the cited period.
In the Jan-Sep period, as much as 7.609 MNCM of natural gas was used in oil fields, against 7.206 MNCM units consumed for the same period in 2015.
