(MENAFN) Paul Bulcke, Chief Executive Officer of Switzerland-based Nestle, the nutrition, health and wellness firm, announced that it has launched its $136 million manufacturing facility in Dubai TechnoPark, in order to meet the fast rising regional demand, and potentially exporting to other regions, Trade Arabia reported.
According to Bulcke, the new 515,000 square foot facility, spread over an area of 1.02 million square feet, specializes in the manufacturing, canning and packaging of different Nestle brands, including Nido powder milk, Kit Kat chocolate and Nestl� Pure Life bottled water.
The new production plant also houses Nestle�s regional microbiological laboratory, which began operations in early 2009. The laboratory, which specializes in the analysis of salmonella, serves all Nestle factories in the Middle East, which is identified as a region with tremendous growth potential for the company, Bulcke added.
