(MENAFN) Nissan Middle East said that as a result of a power steering problem, the company was recalling its Qashqai’s 2011 models in the region, reported Emirates 24/7.
The carmaker added that it had discovered a potential out of specification casting dimension on the heat sink of the electric power steering control unit, adding that with constant use, the EPS motor might no longer function in the extreme case, ultimately, the power steering warning lamp will light up and even as there is no effect on manual steering control of the vehicle, the driver will experience an unexpected loss of power steering assistance.
It also said that Nissan Middle East and the car’s distributor Arabian Automobiles recalled the vehicle with 10th digit “B”.
It is worth noting that Nissan Motor recalled around 34,000 Sentra compact cars and more than 28,000 Juke small crossover SUVs from the 2011 model year in December.
