(MENAFN) Oman aims to construct a mobile desalination project, with a capacity to generate 100.000 cubic meters of water per day in order to meet temporary shortages for potable water.
Meanwhile, Public Authority for Elect and Water has requested Oman Power and Water Procurement Co. to start ground work for the water desalination project.
Additionally, the average annual demand for water amid the interconnected zone in Oman for the coming seven years is estimated to be 5 percent per annum.
Furthermore, a new desalination plant is aimed for the Sharqiya region, with a capacity of 80.000 cubic meters per day, which will be developed in a single phase.
