(MENAFN) Oman plans to attract Malaysian investments in its potential markets, specifically halal food, health care, construction, tourism and oil & gas, local media reported, Muscat Daily reported.
The general manager of Omanexpo LLC, an event management company in Oman, said that Malaysian business should take advantage of Oman’s business-friendly environment and incentives to explore the markets and forge business ties.
He added that the business motivations included zero personal income tax, free repatriation of capital and profits, and 100 percent business ownership.
“We have concluded many bilateral agreements, so we need to activate them by welcoming investors to set up businesses, joint ventures or franchise networks, or become business agents,” he told reporters at a briefing on ‘Capturing Business Opportunities in Oman’ organised by the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers Malaysia on Thursday.
