(MENAFN) A Mitsui & Co Ltd-led consortium achieved progress in building two main natural gas-fired power projects in Oman, which will have a joined capacity of 3.219MW.
Moreover, the Ibri Independent Power Project will get power of 940MW from April 2018, with the whole 1.509MW generation projected from April 2019.
Meanwhile, Sohar 3 is scheduled to receive full capacity of 1.710MW from Jan 2019, while the cooling tower work is progressing at the Sohar project.
In addition, the Mitsui-led group has tight deadlines to finish these two projects as OPWP is aiming to generate power amid two years.
