(MENAFN) According to recent data, Oman registered the lowest inflation rate among other GCC countries, with an inflation rate of 0.46 percent in July, while UAE topped the list with an inflation of 4.43 percent.
In terms of countries, the highest was logged in the UAE, followed by Kuwait with a 3.62 percent inflation, Saudi at 2.2 percent, Qatar 1.6 percent, Bahrain 1.1 percent and Oman with the lowest rate.
Compared to a month ago, the inflation rate edged up in Qatar by 0.6 percent, in Oman by 0.53 percent, in Saudi by 0.3 percent and in the UAE and Kuwait by 0.29 percent and 0.07 percent, respectively.
Commodity prices of food and beverages rose in Kuwait by 4.13 percent, followed by the UAE by 3.40 percent, Saudi Arabia 2.2 percent, the Sultanate of Oman 0.97 percent, and Qatar 0.9 percent.
