(MENAFN) Oman Oil Marketing Company’s (Omanoil) Aviation and Marine Fuels’ General Manager, Ahmad Kamel Mahmud, stated that the firm inked a contract with UAE’s Etihad Airways to provide the carrier’s entire fleet with jet fuel when landing in Muscat International Airport, reported Times of Oman.
Mahmud said that under the agreement, Omanoil becomes Etihad’s only supplier of fuel jet in Oman; moreover, the oil firm will also provide the airline with technical, logistical and engineering support.
He added that omanoil, which has inked several exclusive deals with key global airlines, including British Airways, Swiss Air, Lufthansa, Thai Airways and Biman Bangladesh, took the needed measures to control fuel quality, from the refinery to the aircraft.
It is worth noting that Etihad Airways is the world’s leading airline, and flies to 84 global destinations.
