(MENAFN) Oman’s Social Development Ministry unveiled plans to build 38 buildings to house Omani Women Association meetings, Oman News Agency reported.
The ministry will spend USD49.3 million for the projects. Tenders for the projects are expected to be issued later on this year.
The new multipurpose halls will enable the groups to hold activities and events and boost income, according to the undersecretary of the Social Development Ministry.
The Sultanate of Oman, home to 54 women’s associations, has already constructed 16 dedicated buildings.
