(MENAFN) Oman aims to construct two new water projects in Duqm and Khasab in order to increase the need for potable water in the interior regions.
Moreover, these projects are part of a series of small and large water projects organized in various parts of the country as the need for water grew by 6 percent.
In addition, Duqm project will have the capacity to generate 60,000 cubic meters of water per day and a request for a proposal will be issued this year.
On the other hand, the Khasab water project, with a capacity of 16,000 cubic meters per day is predicted to start operation among Q4 of 2019.
