Oman to grant mining segment priority in gas supply

(MENAFN) Experts agreed that Oman’s Mining segment should be given priority in gas supply given the high prospective of this industry to contribute to the economy.
Additionally, a lot of mineral projects in the country are waiting because of the gas issue, therefore when gas is available, the priority should be for the mineral industry.
Accordingly, experts stressed on the fact that modern techniques must be applied in the mining industry in order to enhance efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
Given the fact that Oman is seeking to develop its local mining industry instead of just exporting minerals as raw material, modern industrial techniques are crucially important.
