(MENAFN) Oman Refineries and Petroleum Industries Co. (Orpic) proclaimed that the capacity of its polypropylene plant will be raised to 340.000 tons of high quality.
Moreover, the plant is part of the government’s vision to enhance the petrochemical industry, while the firm is the main supplier of raw materials used in the production of polypropylene.
Additionally, the production is exported to 91 ports in more than 63 nations, involving the GCC States, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, MENA region and others.
Recently, the production meets 90 percent of the Sultanate’s needs, whereas the firm aims to enhance the plastics industry in the Sultanate and double its revenues.
