(MENAFN) Building work for constructing a new quay wall for the general and liquid cargo berth at the Omani Salalah port will begin on Monday, as the latest reports showed.
The construction of the quay wall at the general cargo station at the port of Salalah is one of the important projects to be implemented, which is expected to attract ships.
Oman’s ports are of major importance in the country’s plans, which seek to develop ports performance in the Sultanate, so they can play a vital role in trade with other world ports.
In more detail, the development’s goal is to construct a 1,266 meter-long quay wall, which will have a width of 83 metres and a depth of 18 metres and can handle various ships.
