(MENAFN) Economic activities in the Sultanate of Oman recorded a slowdown with a whole contraction in nominal GDP by 14.2 percent through the Jan-Sep period of 2015.
However, the non-oil sector viewed an increase of 4.7 percent across the period, from the services sector activities.
Additionally, the inflation has remained very low, with the annual average for the Sultanate pegged at 0.26 percent during the Jan-Feb 2016 period.
Moreover, whole assets of conventional commercial banks grew by 10 percent to USD 73.57bn in Feb 2016 from USD 66.83bn of 2015.
