Oman’s Nawras reports USD25.2m profit in Q2

(MENAFN) Omani telecoms operator Nawras posted a 3 percent decline in quarterly profits on lower revenue and higher depreciation costs, Reuters reported.
The Omani unit of Qatar Telecom (Qtel) said it made USD25.2 million during the second quarter, down from USD25.9 million a year earlier.
The company also reported USD125.4 million revenue during the quarter, down from USD126.41 million a year earlier.
Net profit also dropped to USD50.5 million during the first six months of the year from USD557.25 million a year ago.
