Oman’s rural areas electricity to invest USD 326.1mn

(MENAFN) The Rural Areas Electricity Company will invest an estimated USD 326.1mn to increase power generation capacity in rural areas this year.
Accordingly, many power projects that are in the pipeline involve new power plants, expansion electrical infrastructure like transmission and distribution networks.
In addition, the elect sector in the nation continued to register increase in 2015 and organized to reach new geographical areas as a result of population growth.
The firm is continuing the project of connecting all the Wilayats with transmission and primary systems, while renewable projects are also part of the firm’s plan.
