Oman’s USD 297.7mn Barka desalination to boost capacity
05 Mar 2016
(MENAFN) Oman’s main desalination plant will improve water security in the Sultanate’s northern area by adding almost 62mn gallons of water per day.
Moreover, the water project will increase Oman’s water capability by 20 percent, while it was signed a USD 300mn agreement to establish the Barka.
Additionally, the project is the largest desalinated water capacity in the Sultanate, which will be an essential addition to the main system.
Furthermore, the project will also contribute to the security of water supply in the country, and will create jobs for nationals business owners.
