(MENAFN) Ooredoo’s revenue increased during the first three quarters to USD6.86 billion and, excluding the foreign exchange loss, net profit went up 12 percent, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
Net profit during the period hit USD565.3 million, down from USD590 million due to a USD127.8 million foreign exchange loss in the third qauarter.
The company’s customer base increased by 0.4 percent to reach 89.6 million as of September 30, 2013.
The Group’s Chief Executive Officer said: “Ooredoo has continued to produce strong revenue growth in this period, with particularly impressive performances from Ooredoo Qatar, Nedjma and Asiacell.”
