Orient Group launches EGP23mn factory for dates in Egypt

(MENAFN) Orient Group plans to establish a new factory of dates in Egypt in May in order to enhance production and export volume.
Moreover, the new factory lies on 5.070 square meters in the Borg El Arab industrial zone, with investments of EGP23mn and a capacity of 13.000 tons per year.
Additionally, the firm owns two factories; the first packages edible oils, sesame, spices and anise with a capacity of 100 tons, while the 2nd specializes in production of date paste.
Currently, the firm’s exports reached almost EGP200mn last year, with plans to enhance the number by 75 percent to reach EGP350mn.
