(MENAFN) Kuwaiti minister of communications, Mohammed Mohsen Al-Busairi, stated that the country expects the plans for its multi-billion dollar metro system to be completed in a year’s time, reported Arabian Business.
Al-Busairi also said that all feasibility studies related to the metro project would be done within a year while the construction of the nation-wide metro system would need a few years.
The minister also said that the project would help reduce traffic jamming in the gulf state and thus would offer great help to the transport sector.
It is worth noting that the metro project is expected to cover all industrial and residential areas in the oil-rich country.
