(MENAFN) Qatar-based Abu Issa Holding aims to expand into Iran in the coming year and open stores in Tehran, selling watches and confectionery.
However, a big obstacle to investment is that main global banks remain reluctant to do business with Iran.
The firm will start with five or six stores in Tehran and plans to open a similar number every year for the next five years and also in the city of Isfahan.
In addition, the company also plans to serve as a go-between linking Middle East-based manufacturers and distributors of luxury items with Iranian partners.
