(MENAFN) Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said there were no plans to buy more aircrafts at UK’s Farnborough Air Show in July, as the carrier has enough aircrafts to carryout its growth strategy, Reuters reported.
Al Baker said in May, that the carrier will announce at the air show event the conversion of 20 of its Airbus A330 passenger jets into freighters.
Last year, Qatar Airways bought a 35 percent stake in freight carrier Cargolux Airlines International.
Earlier this month, Emirates Airline president Tim Clark said the airline won’t buy more aircrafts at the Farnborough Air Show, as the Dubai-based airline already has dozens of aircraft on order, with its order books to last through 2022.
