Qatar Airways profit up to USD0.82bn

(MENAFN) Qatar Airways operating profit for this year increased almost three times higher than last year, which reached USD0.82bn in 2016 and USD0.30bn in 2015.
Moreover, the firm posted a net profit of USD0.43bn, resulting in a net profit margin of 4.5 percent, while last year net profit was 1.1 percent.
However, the group reduced its expenses by 1.5 percent and increased its cash and bank balance from USD1.51bn to USD3.29bn.
In addition, Qatar Airways Cargo grew its dedicated freighter destinations to 54, adding Dallas, Budapest, Prague, Ho Chi Minh City and New York to the network.
