(MENAFN) Qatar Airway’s CEO Akbar Al Baker said that the company is studying placing an order for Bombardier’s CSeries aircraft, which would be the first order to push the aviation market that had been facing slowness lately, reported Arabian Business.
Al Baker said that if the company decides on purchasing the aircraft it would submit an order at the Paris Air Show in June.
The Bombardier’s CSeries aircraft is a medium-range jet liner with the capacity of flying 130 travelers.
It is worth noting that Qatar Airways currently flies to around a hundred destinations and is trying to expand through buying a stake in a European carrier to boost its global presence.
